 To all members, the upcoming 192 Grading will be held at PASIR RIS ELIAS COMMUNITY CLUB on the 21 April 2024. The event will start from 1pm to 5pm. Please check with your center coaches / instructors for more details. 

Reporting time :

Foundation : 12:45pm

White 10, white 9, yellow 8, and yellow 7 : 1:00 pm

Green 6, Green 5, Blue 4, and blue 3 : 1:30pm

Red 2, Red 1, and all Poom : 2:00 pm

For the sparring for green belt and above, Shin/forearm and groin guard is a MUST.

 The Singapore Taekwondo Federation would like to congratulate Mr Darran Lee Thiam Huat for his appointment as the Referee Committee Vice Chairman of the Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU) Standing Committees 2024. He received his appointment letter from ATU President Professor Lee Kyu Seok in a special ceremony held on 7 January 2024 in Seoul, South Korea.

Mr Darran is a “S-Class” International Referee for World Taekwondo. Besides refereeing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Mr Darran has refereed in many international events over the last few decades and his appointment is well-deserved. Mr Darran has also contributed to the local Taekwondo fraternity as an examiner, course conductor and had previously served as a board member. Congratulations once again on his appointment!

Anglican Taekwondo Group is celebrating it 40th anniversary on the 14 July 2023 at the Changi Yauth Club Chalet 2A.

Its a great occasion that all the senior members were there with their kids and family. They shared their past experiences and talked about the happiest time during past training. Almost all, Pei Qi, one of the Silver medalist for SEA Games sharing her childhood time and brought back all the laughs. Tok Yee Long and Lee Tiong Hwee, the pioneer group of students attended the party too. 

A baby boy who turned to be a father now, Marc Sim and his never said "give up" brother, Alson Sim together with John Lim and his sister Angline Lim, Esther Cheong were happy to see every each of the senior members. Che Shi Min and Jack Shen from Malaysia took time off just to join us for this happy event.

Not forgetting our invited guests who were there to celebrating the happy time together. Mr Steven Tan, Mr Sim Tan, Mr and Mrs John Ho for their presents.

 Not to forget our team who planned and organised this event, Mr and Mrs Robin Ho and their girl. Mr Micheal and Ms Wan Lin, Mr Melvin Goh for their hard works.

Congratulations to Grand Master Darran Lee who was at the recent SEAGames 2023 which was held at the Phnom Penh, Cambodia on 10 to 16 May 2023.

His professionalism, perspicacity, humble, and adept knowledge of the rules won him the BEST REFEREE AWARD in the SEAGmaes 2023.

We are very proud of his achievement and celebrate this Singaporean success on top of our athletes' achievements.

 Grand Master Lee was being appointed as the International Referee for the recently Sofia 2022 World Cadet Taekwondo Championship and also World Junior Taekwondo Championship on 28 July 2022 to 07 Aug 2022 which was on live streaming.

It'd probably not possible for him to attend the great event without all the coaches help. Anglican Taekwondo Group is always enforced the value of family bonding. With this, all the coaches and members showed the unity of family bond with GM Lee's absence.

Our Chief Coach of Anglican Taekwondo, Master Darran Lee, who is being the Top 50 International Referee for the upcoming Tokyo Olympic 2020. This is another chapter that the competition had to run without spectators.

Mr Lee is also got his 8th Dan last Dec by the Singapore Taekwondo Federation.

We hope all members and family are staying safe and healthy.

Although the circumstances is getting worse and suffering such a difficult situation so far, fortunately, we have got some bright news and signals recently form the STF, PA, Clubs and schools. We have started to move forward and to hold training through Zoom online and, finally, physical training with safe measurement (no contact to any member, temperature taking, and safe entry).

We regret that due to the CONVID-19, our club decided to withdrew our grading on 17 May 2020. In such, we had decided to hold our grading within the month of August 2020. Please check with your center's coach for details.

Once again, we wish all of you to take care of your health and be safe.

The next upcoming supplementary grading will be held at Pasir Ris Elias CC on the 03 Nov 2019. Reporting time for the foundation and white belters will be at 12.30pm.

For female candidates, please be informed that  a plain WHITE ROUND NECK tee shirt is a must. All candidates will not allowed to have any hard objects (eg. watches, chain, ear ring, etc) with them during the grading.

Shin / forearm including grain guards is a must for green belt onward. Without these, candidates will not allowed to sit for the grading and will consider as FAILED due to safety aspect.

Kokokrunch championships 2019 will be held on the 9 and 10 March 2019.

Members who are taking part in this championships are to check on the website for your details date and time by next week.

Kindly prepare well yourself before the match. please inform your coach/es if you are not in good condition.

Anglican Taekwondo Club will be holding it's 171st supplementary grading on 17 Feb 2019 (Sunday) at PASIR RIS ELIAS COMMUNITY CLUB from 12.30pm onward.

Members kindly take note of the changing of location and timing this time.

Females candidates must wear a WHITE ROUND NECK tee shirt inside. All candidates who are Green belt and above must put on the personal GROIN GUARD and shin / forearm guards for the non-contact / light contact sparring.

A very Happy 2018 Year ahead to all members of Anglican Taekwondo Group.

Herein, Mr Joshua Tan, former overall in charge for the Pasir Elias CC Taekwondo group had officially announced that he is leaving the Anglican Taekwondo Group with immediate effect.

We would like to put our thanks to Mr Tan for his past contribution to the club.

Members are also advised that no unauthorized training is allowed at non-approved premises / open space as it is an offend by the Singapore Laws without lience.

Please be informed that the next supplementary grading will be held at MOUNTBATTEN COMMUNITY CENTER on the 28 Jan 2018.

There will be a change on the timing which start to report from 3.00pm onward. Estimated to be ended by latest 7.00pm.

Those who are going away for holiday, please check with your center coaches for assistant to register if you are qualify and ready for the next grading.

Our club's committee had been very busy with the new set up for our own GYM located at 14A Maju Ave Singapore 556691.

It was not possible to be happened if without all of the support from all coaches and students.

Over the last week, the National Inter-school games kicked out from 17 to 20 April 2017 at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.

Pei Hwa Secondary School TKD club managed to clinched a overall B division female Kyorugi event CHAMPION, C division female Kyorugi overall 2nd in placed, and B division male kyorugi overall 2nd in position.


Surprisingly this year is our Anglican TKD Group fruitful year. We managed to get for St. Anthony Cannossia Secondary School a very first overall trophy - B division female 2nd in position.

Total B division female Kyorugi event, we had Overall 1st - Pei Hwa Secondary School, 2nd - St Anthony Cannossia Secndary School, and 3rd - Mayflower Secondary School.

The Founders of Anglican Taekwondo Group, Master Andy Lee and Master Darran Lee were being appointed to officiated in the 13 Asean Taekwondo Championship 2017 which was held at Perlis, Malaysia on the 22 to 26 March 2017.

This championship is so called "Pre-SEAGames" which will be held in KL, Malaysia August this year.

The next upcoming grading for Anglican Taekwondo Group will be held on the 7 May 2017 (Sunday) at Mountbatten CC from 1.30pm onward.

Understand that this is the primary school mid year school examination period, please prepare well the kids in both the school works and the grading techniques.

Our club is organizing a Dan Promotion Course for those who are above 16 years old and is currently holding the grade of Red 1 and above. The course will be conducted on the 8 and 9 of April, 2017.

Normal grading syllabus is applied with two days course consist of all the basic, all poomsae, sparring techniques and etc.....

For those who are holding black belt for more then 8 years, can apply for double grade promotion upon the approval from the club and STF.

Reminder to all members that our next upcoming grading will be on 19 Feb 2017 at Mountbatten Community Center start from 1.30pm.

Those who miss the dateline for submission will have to pay additional penalty on top of the grading fees.

Wind up with a year end party for our Seniors, Parents, and Coaches on the 31 Dec 2017. Thanks to Master Tok Yee Long for the booking of the function room and BBQ pit for this happy occasion.






It was a very fruitful year for Anglican Taekwondo Group with the good results on the competitions, friendly matches, demonstration, and grading. It had not been so successful if without all of the Seniors, Parents, and Coaches contributions.

With this party, we ended our year 2016 targets and looking forward for a better year 2017 ahead.

The annual oversea training camp was being held on the 13 - 15 December, 2017 at the Lovely Home Stay at Johor, Malaysia.

It was a great success with Master Brain Peh, Coach Patrick Kong, Coach MJ from Singapore clubs and also the camp Che Shi Min and her assistant Junior coach Che Jack Shen and Junior coach Edward Lee.



 Night training focus on the basic movements and the stances. Muscle aching after the solid training. The trainees didn't expected it is very difficult to master the movements for poomsae until the training.





The next day, we started off with the physical training with a BEEP test and all the physical action to strengthening the muscle. Followed be the techniques and scoring skill for sparring.

Of course we have bonding games and some fun time during this training camp.



See how the school teacher teaching students "how to cook". Coach Patrick is sharing his skill on the BBQ style........... *(a lot of bullshit)* . I think the students can cook better then us.

Most important for this camp is to impart the VALUE of Taekwondo to the students. Which is the basic discipline and respect to the parents. End of the session, we can see the students fiving a big hug and saying thank you to their parents.





Finally, we have to thanks the owner of the Lovely Home Stay allowing us to rent the whole 3 storey unit with 7 rooms for us to have such a wonderful annually camp.

The supplementary grading was held on the 13 Oct 2016 at Mountbatten Community Center. Total of 315 members took the upgrading test and 5 of them got their Double promotion.








Well done members. Also need to thanks all the coaches, parents, and helpers during the event. It would not be able to carried out so successfully if without all of you. Stay united and we will become stronger.
