The last quarter of the year has been a busy term for the club. Here are the updates!

Muhibah Poomsae Championships 2014
On the 7th of December 2014, Master Lee brought a group of members to take part in a poomsae championship organised by Muhiba Taekwondo Club, the club that Ms Che Shi Min is training at. The event was held at Millennium Sports Center, Skudai.

This championship saw close to 200 participants who gave their very best to gun for the gold medal position. Our club fielded 4 players in total: Mr Joshua Tan, Zenda Lau, Ashley Ho and Poh Cheng Kiat.

It was a great experience for our members as it was the first time they are participating in an overseas competition. Most of them had forged great friendships with the participants from Muhibah.

Ms Che Shi Min's training center clinched an overall stunning results of 11 golds, 8 silvers and 2 bronzes, out of a total of 22 students!

Good job to Shi Min and all her students as we grow and strive for excellence together as a team, as a family!

JCalicu MBW International Invitational Championships 2014
Between the 4th and 8th of September 2014, Master Lee and Mr Gavin Tan attended the 1st JCalicu MBW International Taekwondo Invitational Championship 2014 held in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia along with other referees from the Federation.

From left: Mr Che Jack Shen, Ms Che Shi Min, along with the Singapore representatives Mr Woon Yong Chuang, Master Darran Lee, Mr Derrick Tang and Mr Gavin Tan.

Being the first time attending such an international event for some of them, they were rewarded with the opportunity of interacting with the International and Local Referees throughout the Championship under the guidance of Master Lee, which allowed them to gain valuable insights from their experiences and broaden their exposure. They were constantly kept in awe as many international athletes were well-versed with strategic tactics which they utilized during the competition,

"This trip with Master Lee had been a fruitful one and I felt that I have benefited greatly from it. I was fortunate to have been able to attend such an event and would definitely go again when the opportunity presents itself" he expressed while recalling the memory.

It was a fruitful journey for both Master Lee and the referees as they were able to take away knowledge from the event. Master Lee was awarded the Best Referee Award, recognized by both the players and coaches as the best performing official throughout the Championship!

Kudos for the awesome job done in 2014 and let us look forward to more events in the coming 2015. Don't forget to take a view at our year end summary video created by our 3rd Poom member Edward Lee at the top of the page!
